Realtime AR
The wish: an eye-catcher for the Chinaplas
For its first appearance at the Chinaplas Expo in Shanghai, Clariant set itself the goal of being perceived as an innovative market leader. To achieve this, raumHOCH and Fuenfwerken Design AG created a virtual e-car that could be explored on the exhibition stand with an iPad. A mysterious, streamlined graphic on the floor was transformed into a 3D animated, walk-in electric car with colourful Clariant “C-Badges”.
Catch the C-Badge and discover benefits
Behind each badge were new additives, pigments and 3D printing technologies from the Clariant plastics portfolio that increase the safety, functionality and aesthetics of plastics, coatings and textile applications. With the help of the app, visitors learned about the structure and mode of action of the innovative components, right down to the molecular structure.
A fast ride in an e-convertible
To further increase the entertainment value and teaser function of the AR installation, visitors were able to drive the virtual e-car themselves. For this purpose, the visitors were filmed, cut out in real time and mounted in the moving e-car. Visitors were sent photos of the speedy drive through a Mega City by email, which they could share on social media with one click. The app was awarded the Annual Multimedia Award 2019 in silver.
