eSports together on site – how does that fit together?
Veritas Entertainment bundles the building blocks of eSports and takes gaming to a new level. A central component is the eSports locations operating under the name LVL, in which the digital lifestyle meets art and music. On the one hand, eSports tournaments are organised here, these and other events are streamed live, professionals are given the opportunity to train in their own facilities and gamers from all over the world are given the opportunity to experience eSports at the highest level together in teams. In addition, there are various events of the digital lifestyle and catering typical of the scene as well as a merchandise shop. The spatial concept and design for the pilot project in Berlin-Mitte was created by raumHOCH.
What and where can the visitor experience?
LVL is located on the ground and first floor of a commercial building on Schützenstraße in Berlin near Checkpoint Charlie. The ground floor offers a good introduction to eSports with a burger bar and a shop for newcomers. In other areas of this floor, a VR gaming area and arcade machines allow you to slowly approach the periphery of the topic of gaming. Not accessible to the public, this floor also houses the training rooms of the professional eSports team G2. The basement forms the heart of the actual eSports location. First, the visitor is greeted by an arena with about 200 seats and a cage around a circular stage, which is obligatory for professional eSports. After that, gamers will find an area where they can play together as a team on site. The offer is rounded off by a small public viewing room in which tournaments are streamed live and a VIP bar. For professional users – streamers and gamers – there are various streaming studios with different equipment in the basement.
